A. Paul Dyson is from the independent city of Poquoson in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is a combat veteran who served in the United States Air Force during the First Gulf War. His background is in sales and marketing and he has worked for Coca-Cola for more than twenty-five years. He lives in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he enjoys the freedom of cycling and the many rewards of participating in and supporting the arts. The author is also a member of the Film Noir Foundation, which preserves films in danger of being lost. His influences include Ernest Hemingway, Cormac McCarthy, Lionel White, Frank Herbert, and Michael Mann. Son of One is his first novel.
